Last night, I asked Phyllis to stay a bit longer. She said she’s be back, but I got the distinct feeling I would never see her again.
Please, God, make me wrong.

301 Valley View Blvd Altoona, PA 812-345-1979 Lord, Thou hast been our refuge from generation to generation. I said: O Lord, have mercy on me, heal my soul, for I have sinned against Thee. O Lord, unto Thee have I fled for refuge, teach me to do Thy will, for Thou art my God. |
We seek and we pray for our return to that time when, being united, we spoke the same things and there was no schism between us.

He shall be filled with the spirit of understanding; he shall pour forth his words of wisdom and give thanks to the Lord in his prayer.

O venerable Herman, ascetic of the northern wilderness and gracious advocate for all the world, teacher of the Orthodox Faith and good instructor of piety, adornment of Alaska and joy of all America: entreat Christ God, that He save our souls.

Oh, sweetie. I pray that you see her again too. I hope and pray that I will see you soon too. I’ll write you a private message, tonight or tomorrow, about this. In the meanwhile, a private message will soon be winging its way about something else. I hope you like it.
Love,
L.
What Lisa said. Praying you see her again. Praying you see all of us again. Stay strong, ask God for guidance, and enjoy every precious minute.
(And don’t waste it on watching the Steelers!) š
Clay,
I will be back. You must know that is true. You are my dearest brother in law.
Praying for you.
I hope today has dawned better for you, Clay. I’m getting ready for church–today is the Sunday in Advent that we have a cantata, so I want to get there in plenty of time–but I wanted to check in here first and see if you’d posted anything new. I will be saying special prayers for you this morning, and I will ask God to send you the beauty and peace of the service.
It is a painful joy to recall that Clay did see Phyllis again. I guess he was waiting for her. Twenty-five minutes after she returned to Valley View, Clay died, holding her hand.
